The redesigned social profiles, session posts, uploaded social photos and live camera-counted competitions described here are available from GymWars 2.0.0. Earlier versions may not include these features.
GymWars should be a welcoming place to train, share progress and compete. These rules apply to profiles, photos, shared workouts, comments and competitions. Report content that breaks them and use blocking to control who can interact with you.
1. Respect people and their boundaries
GymWars is for sharing training, meeting people and enjoying friendly competition. Encourage progress without judging bodies or pressuring people to compete. A declined invitation or unanswered friend request is a boundary to respect.
No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discriminatory attacks.
No doxxing, stalking or sharing private information without permission.
No impersonation, scams, spam or repeated unwanted contact.
2. Keep content appropriate
Post only content you have the right to share. Get permission before posting identifiable people. Your username, display name, bio, social links, photos, captions and comments are covered by these rules.
No pornography, explicit sexual content, sexual solicitation or non-consensual intimate imagery.
No child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming or sexualization of minors.
No graphic violence, cruelty or content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous exercise, illegal activity or exploitation.
No deceptive promotions, illegal sales, copyright infringement or attempts to bypass moderation.
Ordinary workout photos are welcome when they respect these rules and the people in them.
3. Compete fairly
Use the exercise specified for the match. Keep the camera positioned as instructed and do not fake repetition counts, manipulate results or use another person's account. Do not arrange wagers or money-based prizes. Prioritize your health over a score: stop when you need to, and respect an opponent's decision to leave.
4. How moderation works
Text filters check submitted social text. Uploaded social photos are held for review before other users can see them. Authorized reviewers assess photos and reports against these guidelines. Approval of a photo does not grant permission to misuse someone else's image.
We may reject a submission, remove content, limit social or competition access, or suspend an account. Serious or repeated violations can result in account closure. Moderation can be imperfect; help us by reporting a problem or requesting an appeal when a decision seems wrong.
5. Report and block
Use Report from a post or comment menu, or from the person's profile menu. Choose the reason that best describes the issue. You can also send a report to ultasdevelopment@gmail.com with the username, approximate date and relevant post or match details.
Use Block on the person's profile to prevent further interaction through GymWars. Blocking and reporting have different purposes: block to stop contact, and report so we can investigate a violation. Your report is not published, and we do not display your identity to the reported person.
We review concerns and prioritize reports involving immediate safety, exploitation or credible threats. GymWars is not an emergency service. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Do not forward illegal or exploitative images to us by email; provide the in-app location or account details instead.
6. Appeals and contact
If your content or account was restricted and you believe the decision was wrong, email ultasdevelopment@gmail.com. Include your GymWars username, the decision or content involved and a short explanation. Do not send passwords or payment-card details.
